This evening, my friend Brian and I assigned a photography task for ourselves. Brian had just purchased a new Canon DSLR and wanted to try it out, so we went to Duncan Creek Park on Braselton Highway. I knew that the park had a bike, skateboard, and skate complex that promised some aerial shots and a good location, with diverse conditions, for Brian to check out his new camera.
When we got there the place was busy. I spotted a young fellow on a bike who seemed like a good subject to start with. After watching him for a few minutes, it became evident that he was very talented. We struck up a conversation and I learned that Russell, who is a high school senior, is active in BMX Freestyle competitions. He agreed to do some aerial maneuvers for our cameras, and before long, both Bryan and I got some great images, like the one here. You can find more below, and on our Facebook page.
Russell if you read this blog please contact me, I would like to learn more about your competition schedule.
