Classes of 2011 and 2012

David Pope Photography’s innovative Senior Model Program was designed to help students earn free portraits and prizes, and to help spread the word about our company by sharing their photography experiences at David Pope Photography with their friends and peers.

We recently launched a search for class of 2011 and 2012 students eligible to participate in the program. Students accepted into the program get free photo sessions, 4×6 personalized Senior Model comp cards, JPEG image files for their Facebook and MySpace pages, and an opportunity to earn a free senior print package. Industrious Senior Models can also earn cash, print credit, and prizes, including a limo to the prom or a laptop computer. In other words, hard working Senior Models can earn enough to pay for their own portraits in their senior year and more. Yes – FREE senior portraits.

Rising juniors and seniors, if you have seen our unique, edgy images, and you like our style, ask your parents for permission to apply to the High School Senior Model Program with the hottest senior photography studio in Georgia.

Responsibilities

Successful candidates will assist photographer as representatives, ambassadors, and occasionally to test new equipment.

Candidate Requirements

• Class of 2011 or class of 2012
• Good grades
• Responsible, outgoing, hard-working, prompt, polite
• Good people skills
• Work independently
• Available on short notice
• Facebook/MySpace account
• Member of school groups (sports, band, etc.) is a plus

2. Photographer’s Assistant

 David Pope Photography, a cutting-edge Buford based photography studio, is looking for a responsible, hard working, outgoing rising senior (class of 2011) for occasional, part-time, hourly work at a rate of $10 per hour.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist photographer with routine aspects of operating a photography business including:

• Answer telephone
• Set-up and break-down of equipment
• Interface with clients
• Manage/direct large groups of children of all ages
• Collect payments at on-location events
• Greet customers
• Assist with order preparation
• Run errands locally

Candidate Requirements

Candidates must satisfy the following requirements:

• Class of 2011
• Responsible, outgoing, hard-working, prompt, polite
• Good people skills
• Able to work independently as needed
• Available on short notice
• Able to work on weekends and evenings
• Knowledge of cameras and photography
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop on a PC is a plus
• Previous retail experience is a plus
• Vehicle or driver’s license is a plus.

3. Office Assistant

 David Pope Photography, a cutting-edge Buford based photography studio, is looking for a responsible, hard working, outgoing rising senior (class of 2011) for occasional, part-time, hourly work at a rate of $10 per hour.

• Greet and interface with clients
• Operate PC and perform data entry using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Respond to e-mails
• Assist with order preparation
• Order supplies and photo products online and by telephone

Candidate Requirements

Candidates must satisfy the following requirements:

• Class of 2011
• Responsible, outgoing, hard-working, prompt, polite
• Good people skills
• Good organizational skills
• Handle multiple, concurrent tasks
• Work independently as needed
• Available on short notice
• Adapt to changes in job responsibilities
• Proven experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook on a PC
• Arrange own transportation to and from studio as needed

We will contact you within 48 hours to discuss the program and send an application with program information. Have the student complete and submit the application according to the instructions.  After a review of the application, if the student is accepted, I will contact you to set up an in-studio appointment to discuss the program and have a mini photo session to create images for the model comp (business) cards.

Over the past few weeks I had the good fortune to meet some wonderful people and had the privilege of photographing many beautiful babies of all ages. It was great fun and hope that the participants feel the same. Each baby’s parents did a great job selecting their image for the contest. In my opinion, everyone is a winner.

When Does The Voting Begin?

At midnight EDT (UTC -4), on April 30th, you can place your vote for your favorite baby image. Voting will continue for 72 hours and at midnight on May 3rd the polls will close. Anyone can vote. Only one vote is allowed per IP (computer), and this will be monitored by the polling site. Real-time, unofficial results will be continuously displayed (as percentages) on the polling site. Votes will be tallied and the official winners will be announced at noon, on May 4th.

What are the Prizes?

Prizes wll be awarded for the top three images based on the voting results. These prizes are gift certificates for products and services at David Pope Photography, and must be redeemed before July 31st, 2010. Gift certificates are valued at $500 for first place, $150 for second place, and $50 for third place.

Is There a New Prize?

At the last minute, we decided to add a special new “Fan (Like) Prize” to the contest. A $100 gift certificate, similar to those described above, will be awarded for the image that attracts the most Facebook fans to our fan page at http:/www.facebook.com/david.pope.photo . So, pester, cajole, or beg your Facebook friends to fan-up (recently renamed by Facebook to “like”), and then tell them to send us a mandatory Facebook message containing only a contestant’s number from the PollDaddy voting site. Existing David Pope Photography fans also can be counted if they send us a similar Facebook message. One message will be counted per fan. The contestant associated with the highest number of fan messages wins the Fan (Like) Prize.
